AidCom´s real-time news and alerts will now be available to the Abacus network of travel agencies and their corporate clients throughout Asia Pacific, within a new partnership agreement signed in Singapore.
Abacus, the leading travel solutions provider in the region, with systems deployed at over 20,000 travel agency locations, has packaged AidCom content into an innovative digital service branded TripAlert, that was launched this month.
Subscribers will receive early advice of potential disruption to travel, identifying the travellers affected to give their agents time to consult and reschedule bookings as needed.
Abacus processes over 30 million transactions daily, with travellers visiting every corner of the globe. The potential of the TripAlert service and the strategic value of the partnership to AidCom is therefore considerable.
Martin Symes, Chief Marketing Officer for Abacus commented, “This is a significant value-add for the travel management companies using Abacus to support their corporate customers’ duty of care obligations. TripAlert is also a source of competitive differentiation in a region already delivering a premium service to the business sector.”
“Abacus is a powerful brand with a vast distribution grid which includes many new markets we want to develop, including India, the Philippines, Indonesia and Taiwan. We see a great potential in the partnership with Abacus, to build out in this dynamic region”, added AidCom Founder and CEO Peder Kvendset (pictured).
